Prepping for a trip is stressful enough, trust us, we built a whole business to help. But, the only thing worse is realizing you didn’t prepare the right way. When you’re too focused on the color scheme of your European outfits or choosing between what eyeshadow palette is the most versatile, you can sometimes forget the basics. It’s happened to us once or twice or really too many times to count. Lucky for you - we’ve put together the perfect list of all the things you don’t think about until you realize you need them on your trip. Obviously nothing is truly necessary to travel besides a passport and a Went There Loved That guide, but we’ve listed things we wish we had or were beyond thankful we have brought so, enjoy!
Travel Backpack
If Tiffany is obsessed with two things, it’s travel and this backpack. If you are a true backpacker and are just carrying around what’s on your back - this isn’t for you because you’ll need a real heavy duty backpack that is the size of your entire torso. However, for us girlies that enjoy a backpack + luggage, it doesn’t get much better than this. The best part about this backpack is that is unzips like luggage and you can pack things into both sides. The compartments are simple and make sense, and it’s super comfortable to carry around - you won’t regret this one!
Meds (Dramamine, Blister Bandaids, Chafing Cream)
If Tiffany loves THREE things in this world it's traveling, the backpack we just talked about, and having all the meds in the world. Overpacking meds is real, and we know all too well the temptation of packing one million Tylenol, Advil, Excedrin, store brand ibuprofen, and every other over the counter pain killer you can think of. But, here are some meds/supplies that you might not be thinking of right away but you’ll be emailing us thank you notes for reminding you of.
For our motion sickness girlies: Dramamine
For our girlies that like to wear shorts: Anti-chafe Cream
For our girlies who want to wear cute shoes: Blister Bandaids
Packing Cubes
These little things will make a huge difference. Packing cubes make our lives so much easier on long trips especially because you can keep things tight and compact. You can also open up your suitcase and one cube instead of having everything spill out. The zipper quality is super important here which is why we love these.
Laundry Bags
You never think of laundry when you’re thinking about running around gorgeous European cities - thankfully we are. Packing travel laundry bags that can separate your dirty and clean clothes + are easy to carry around to the nearest laundromat while looking like you know what you’re doing.
Makeup Mirror
YOU GUYS - we always book the cute airbnb or fun hostel without ever even thinking about the mirrors available. Chances are you’re not going to have enough to get ready for the crazy night in the gorgeous city you’re in. Having a compact easy to travel with mirror that also has lighting to get ready is a game changer.
Portable Charger
This is an obvious one that you don’t really need until you absolutely do. Fun fact? Most planes have regulations on the voltage and which you can/can’t take on board. These work great, are affordable, and have the right voltage!
Universal Travel Adapter
It’s crucial to figure out what you need to get all your electronics in order - and it starts with a travel adapter. Instead of getting one for each kind of plug, get this one that works all over the world.
